I come from the Blackhawk family and am a citizen of the Ho-Chunk Nation. I was gifted with the Indian name of Kaagi hiugejga, Raven Queen, by my uncle during a traditional ceremony. I am honored to hold this name. Names often represent a strength in the person receiving it. My uncle has passed on and my name brings me strength and resiliency. I feel the intention of this name when facilitating groups. Ravens are empathetic with high intelligence. When I think about this sacred name, I see my role to represent the whole community.

I now divide my time between Minnesota and Florida. I continue my quest of facilitating strategy through my business, Blackhawk Facilitation. My passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion has never faltered as I work to name and address systemic inequities internally and externally.
